Overview
High resilience to the extraction of PVC compounds through oils, hydrocarbons and soapy water, etc. is the main feature of polymeric plasticizers. The low volatility promotes less plasticizer loss during the process, higher stability of the mechanic properties of the compound (very slow aging and fog elimination in automobiles) and less odor of the end product. Low migration is another advantage of polimeric plasticizers. As a result, they can be used in compounds in contact with adhesives, rubbers, polystyrenes, etc.
